Macromedia Dreamweaver 8
Dreamweaver 8 from Macromedia is a sophisticated Web development tool is targeted specifically for the professionals.
Web designing has changed since Macromedia released MX 2004. Now Web content is increasingly relying more on embedded content drawn from Really Simple Syndication (RSS) sources and other resources of data rather than on images, static text and data.
While in formatting Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are supplanting HTML in the page design, as the former is more flexible and powerful too.
Dreamweaver 8 has takes into account both these needs and addressed them both.
Besides, this version’s interface though complex is well designed. The enhancements in the interface lets you zoom in for detailed page views. Ruler guides here allow you to make it easier for to measure elements within a page.
For coders, Dreamweaver8 with the new formatting toolbar and the collapsible code allows them to show or hide select sections of HTML. This also allows you to navigate much faster.
For Mac users, this tool puts on par the OS X with the Windows XP version. This version includes features like document tabs and others which were not present in the Mac version of Dreamweaver MX 2004.
Animators will be glad to hear that the Timeline menu has been revived in Dreamweaver 8.
Internal rendering engine has been improved so that the design almost replicates as to how the pages will appear in a Web browser.
Macromedia has also added support for most of the Web technologies, including CSS, XML, Flash 8, WebDAV, PHP and ColdFusion 7 MX Support is however missing for AJAX.
Dreamweaver 8 costs $999 when bundled with Macromedia Studio 8, an upgrade is provided for $399 upgrade for existing owners of the Studio.

Great Development for Website Developers
The new Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 is a great development for website developers. It has cool new installations where you can add video with ease and the XML and CSS integrations are good. The previous version was more user friendly as novices could master but this one is seriously for the masters. So, if you are a novice, or a guy just starting out with dreamweaver, you would be better served if you use the 2004 version.
This new version is certainly a great update from the older version from the people at Dreamweaver. Great work guys.
