Nero 7 Ultra Edition – the great digital juggler
The Nero 7 Ultra Edition is for those who want to combine both the PC and the television. If you can overlook the bugs and the slowness while executing certain commands you might even like this product because there’s a lot you can do with this product.
You can turn digital pictures into slick animated presentations or slideshows. Edit photos and videos. Capture video from TV tuner cards. Create DVDs with 2D / 3D animated menu templates. Compress files so that you can store more on your hard disk. Stream files over a media server.
With the Nero 7 you extend the PCs reach to your living room thanks to the addition of Nero Home Media Manager so you can quickly and easily access the digital media files on your PC using a remote control. It allows you to playback audio files, DVD and even program TV time shifts. In short, the Nero 7 is just what you need if you are looking for a single solution to manage your data, photos, videos and audio files.
You can store and organize all your digital media files into playlists on Nero 7’s powerful database.
Its Nero Backup Wizard provides complete system backup while the Job Scheduler provides automatic backup. While a more efficient interface makes getting around the many programs a lot easier.
It supports a host of media formats including 5.1 and 7.1 audio, HDV video and the increasingly popular Blu-ray technology which helps you to store 25-50 GB of data on a single disc.
And yes, like I mentioned in the beginning, the product does have a few flaws. For instance, it does not recognize some DVD recorders. Then, the dual burning layer might try your patience with its sluggishness. The absence of a manual or help files might also irritate someone unfamiliar with previous versions of this product.
Users who have the Nero 6 are entitled to a free upgrade to v7.

Great for organizing all your files. Best part is, it's Blu-Ray-ready.
Nothing beats this product. It's a toy for hardcore gadget geeks. And can be a very useful tool for business too. Once all the pics and videos are organized, the task of preparing a presentation on the fly, is made so simple and quick, you'd be surprised. And the best part is, it supports Blu-ray. When the guys at Sony and the movie studios figure out the next standard - whether its gonna be HD DVD or Blu-ray, at least the Nero 7 will not have let you down.
