Canon Bubble Jet i6500
A wide format printer mainly for graphics business and other similar creative fields, the Canon Bubble Jet i6500 is capable of printing good quality borderless photos up to the size of A3+ size and at a reasonably good speed.
This printer utilizes the Single Ink technology with four separate ink tanks. It makes use of the sophisticated MicroFine Droplet Technology and 5 pl permanent drop size in all modes, with the maximum print resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. You get better contrast, greater definition and wider colour range. Graininess in prints is also reduced to a big extent as a result.
Canon Bubble Jet i6500 has a reasonably rapid pace of printing; 17ppm monochrome and up to 12ppm in colour. At default settings, i6500 can give you full-colour A4 in 100 seconds at default settings. The quick performance is courtesy the one-pass, bi-directional printing and an independent 5-motor drive system.
Further, this printer can deliver borderless photos on 4" x 6", 5" x 7", A4, A3, and A3+ media. Also, the optional PostScript RIP solution can be extremely valuable for the graphic artists as they could produce precise contract quality proofs. This feature is even more versatile as iProof's PowerRIP 2000 is available in both Macintosh and Windows versions.
Bubble Jet i6500 encompasses an USB and parallel interfaces. It is compliant with Windows 95/98/ME/NT 4.0/2000/XP and Mac OS 8.6 - 9.x / Mac OS X. By using an optional adapter, you can share it in a network.
Driver features comprise Photo Optimizer PRO, Image Optimizer, Photo Noise Reduction and Vivid Photo.
Cannon has continued to use its highly impressive Easy-PhotoPrint and Easy-WebPrint software here too.
Bubble Jet i6500 comes with the dimensions of 573 x 334 x 196 mm (W x D x H) and weighs nearly 7 kg.
