Apple iPod Nano
A trimmed version of its renowned predecessor iPod mini, the iPod nano comes with odd changes here and there as a result of the miniaturization and some useful advancements too.
Yet again, Apple has managed to produce an excellently styled device. The iPod nano has dimensions of 1.6 x 3.5 x 0.27 inches (W x L x H) which is approximately 60 percent smaller than mini and weighs a mere 1.5 ounces. As such, it is likely to fit even into small jeans pockets without too much evident protrusion.
Apart form an unmatched interface, some great qualities of nano comprise the superior colour screen, outstanding sound quality and the dynamic look.
The 1.5-inch display has a resolution of 176 x 132-pixels. While the screen is 0.2 inches smaller than the iPod mini, the colour feature and stunning photos make up for it.
This iPod is not compliant with FireWire, so you will have use the USB cable. You won’t complain as file transferring via USB 2.0 is exceptionally quick.
This 4GB model gives you storage space of 3.7GB; the rest is eaten up by the system files.
A notable upgrade is nano’s synchronization with Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express contacts and calendars. And the harmonization is absolutely trouble free.
Nothing new in the gaming section. You will have to be satisfied with the same old stuff like Brick, Music Quiz, Parachute, and Solitaire. The stopwatch can come in handy while working out. There is also a world clock which is capable of displaying the time both analog and digital mode.
Sound quality is top-notch very much like iPod mini. Music is greatly audible with solid bass and crisp highs. The earphone provided is not bad but you’ll get much superior results with other high quality earpieces.
22 prefixed listening modes make up for the absence of a customizable equalizer and bass booster does a good job of pepping up the music. Though traces of harmonic distortion were evident, the overall sound quality was tremendous.
Photo synchronization is simple and speedy thanks to iTunes. This device supports JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, PSD and PNG formats.
Accessories included with nano include lanyard headphones, a nano Dock, nano armbands, and nano Tubes.
Battery can last for approximately 14 hours on constant audio playback.
You won’t find a voice recorder or even an FM tuner with this device. But, at the end of the day, it has got enough positives to satisfy your appetite.

Trendsetter
Apple iPod Nano sports a fabulous design with a nice screen. Because you can leverage its iTunes offerings, which are plenty, you can build up a huge directory of music. But, it has a very limited battery life. It gets scarred easily too. There is no USB power adapter included. Yet all in all it is a good for people who subject it to limited usage.
