Shure E4c earphones

Yet another in Shure’s range of E series earphones, E4c is an upgrade of the highly popular E3c and performs the action of a noise cancelling ear phone but minus the excess burden.

It is impressively styled with an amalgamation of attractive colours like white, light gray, and silver. The 1.5 metre thick cable is also light gray.

E4c weighs only 1.1 ounces and is available with a plug-in volume-level control, a 1/4-inch home adapter, and also a compact casing for storing the earphones.

Shure E4c is different from the standard noise cancelling big ear phones in that Shure concentrates on noise isolation. To fulfil this objective, Shure presents you with plenty of options in the box. You can make a choice from the different soft, supple sleeves; the one which you feel fits your ear best. The package comes with almost everything from foam, rubber to sticky silicon and more. While the foam tips have a good seal, it does not provide much better isolation than the rubber tips. They can be washed but do get dirty very fast. You also get a pair of replaceable eartip tubes.

Thrust anyone of them in your ear firmly and deep enough and you are not likely to hear any disturbance after that. This means the headphone performs one of its primary jobs very well. With an earplug like design, the background noises are blocked up which helps you to listen even at low volumes while travelling in crowded trains, buses etc.

Next in line is the sound quality. E4c integrates with the very same accuracy apparatus utilized by professional musicians to scrutinize their performances onstage. Additionally, it makes use of the Tuned-Port Technology that betters the tiny earphones' bass response by improving airflow around the High-Definition drivers.

If these were some of the merits, a few shortcomings were also observed. First and foremost, you have to shove them into your ear very tightly which might upset quite a few number of people around you. Even slight misplacement can lead to bad implications; one you might not be able to hear any bass and two the wax joined to the plug could also get detached. But these are very much negligible.

With plenty of ear sleeves and jacks, the earphone versatility is enhanced. If you don’t have any issues thrusting them deep into your ear, then you might very well go for it.
