HP Pavilion ze2300 Notebook PC series
Reasonably mobile, the HP Pavilion ze2300 notebook PC weighs 2.95 kg (6.5 lbs) and has dimensions of 33.4 cm (W) x 27.42 cm (L) x 3.28 cm (H).
Operating on Microsoft Windows XP, this notebook utilizes the AMD processor with Power Now technology. Thanks to the ATI RADEON XPRESS 200M IGP, the graphic features are striking.
The 15-inch TFT display (1024 x 768 resolution) with BrightView technology on selected models and the integrated Altec Lansing speakers combine to give you a nice dose of entertainment.
Good features of this notebook comprise the DVD technology, three USB 2.0 ports, ample software and the 6-in-1 Media Reader compatible with xD, SD, Smart Media, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro and Multimedia Card.
System bus speed is either 1600 MHz or 1800 MHz running at AC/DC mode 35 Watt. Cache can be a Level 2 cache of 1 MB or Level 2 cache of 512 KB. Depending on the model, the standard memory is 1024 MB or 512 MB. Maximum memory capability cannot exceed 1 GB. The internal hard disk drive is of 60/80 GB at the speed of 4200 rpm. Video RAM has 128 MB of shared video memory.
Optical drive features the DVD Writer Dual Format (+/-R +/-RW) with Double Layer support.
Network interface used is the integrated 10/100 LAN Ethernet.
Wireless purposes are solved through the 54g™ 802.11b/g WLAN.
Some external I/O ports include 1 VGA port; 3 USB 2.0 ports, 1 Headphone-out and a Cable docking connector.
IEEE 1394 is the video capture interface.
For expansion, you can make use of the one type I or II PC card slot. CardBus-enabled.
3D Sound Blaster Pro compatible sound 16 bit integrated is the internal audio feature.
Power supply is via the 65 W AC Power Adapter and the battery used is 6-cell Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion).
Software encompassed comprise Microsoft Works 8.0, Microsoft Works Suite 2005: Microsoft Word 2002, Microsoft Picture It! Photo Premium 10, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0; Microsoft Outlook Express, Adobe Reader 6.0.
InterVideo WinDVD 5.0, Sonic Easy Archive, Apple QuickTime; HP Image Zone Plus etc are some of the optical drive software.
Symantec Norton Internet Security 2005 (60-day live update) is the security feature provided.
You are given 1-year warranty, pick-up and return, parts and labour besides some warranty extensions.

Great for watching videos but the speakers are
The notebook's BrightView technology is a noticeable feature but what good is it when you downlaod music video or play CDs and the richness of the music is lost? I showed it to the dealer who said he couldn't do anything about it.

Good device
The HP Pavilion Ze2300 is really nice looking. As it quite large is in its size, it is a good replacement for you desktop. It comes with Software like Microsoft Works 8.0, and Microsoft Picture It. Symantec’s Norton Internet Security with a 60 day live update is featured too.
