Compaq Presario V2200 Notebook PC series
Pleasantly designed with a slim casing, V2200 embraces a 14-inch widescreen display, six-in-one Digital Memory Reader (on select models), DVD writers, Intel processors and a number of connectivity options.
This amiably structured notebook weighs 2.36kg (5.21 lb) and has the dimensions of 334 x 231 x 33 mm. (W x D x H) When packed, the dimensions change to 400 x 165 x 340 mm.
Utilising the highly appreciated Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition operating system, V2200 makes use of the Intel Pentium M Processor 725 which encloses the Intel SpeedStep technology. The processor speed is 1.60 GHz while the pace of the system bus is 400MHz.
V2200 has a Level 2 cache of 2MB. With the memory type DDR PC2700 266MHz, its standard memory is 512MB and the maximum memory capacity is 2GB DDR memory. Internal hard disk drive is 60GB with a 4200 rpm speed.
Optical drive type is DVD Writer dual format (+/-R +/-RW) with Double Layer support.
As mentioned in the introduction, a few models encompass the 6-in-1 Digital Memory Reader. xD, SD, Smart Media, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro and Multimedia Card are the memory sticks supported.

Softwares encompassed in V2200 include Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, Microsoft Outlook Express, Adobe Reader 6.0. That apart, you will also get security features like the Symantec Norton AntiVirus 2005 (60 day liveupdates), Notebook Help & Support.
Moreover, you will find the Optical drive driver software like InterVideo WinDVD, InterVideo WinDVD Creator, Sonic RecordNow, Microsoft Windows Media Player 9, Apple iTunes.
Power supply is provided by the 65W AC Power Adapter while the battery used is 6-cell Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery.
And finally, V2200 gives you one year warranty on pick-up and return, parts and labour.

Better than the best
I would like to say that this notebook does outdo all the rest of the products that Compaq has come out with. It is in my opinion a complete self-contained system that provides a user with 60GB internal hard disk drive space and is very handy as well to carry around at about 5 pounds.
I would like to recommend this compaq to those who are looking out for an affordable, neat product.
