FinePix S20 Pro
An intelligent combination of the FinePix S7000 and the Super CCD SR technology, the FinePix S20 Pro is a 6.2 megapixel camera, (S-pixel: 3.1 million, R-pixel: 3.1 million).
This camera has two small sensors in each of its hexagonal photosite. While one sensor takes care of the dark zones, the other sensor snaps lighter parts. The S20 Pro mixes data received from both the sensors and delivers photos with one of the highest qualities ever attained.
This compact model that is somewhat like an SLR camera uses a powerfully sharp Super EBC Fujinon 6x optical zoom lens that has a 35-210mm focal range, equivalent to a 35mm lens. Producing images with 2,832 x 2,128 pixels, one is able to store them conveniently in the JPEG format. In fact, you can also record the unprocessed basic data straightaway from the imager via the CCD-RAW mode. The camera includes software for processing RAW images and turning them into the regular TIFF or JPEG format.
Furthermore, the S20 Pro offers video capability as well and snaps top-quality 640 x 480 VGA videos at 30 frames per second coupled with audio. Still images and movies can be stored in the available media slots, xD-Picture Card and the Compact Flash Type II slot.
Presenting myriad exposure modes, the S20 Pro has modes like full AUTOmatic, Program AE, Shutter-speed priority, Aperture priority and Manual, in addition to four Scene Program modes. The camera’s ISO sensitivity can be chosen from 200-800 for all resolutions, while being extended further also to 1600 (1M resolution).
Besides the ImageMixer VCD2 for Finepix and the RAW File Converter EX and LE, this camera comes with Fujifilm’s Hyper-Utility2 image management software especially meant for professionals as it allows photographers to alter camera settings so much so that they can even release the shutter of the camera through their computers. Now that certainly deserves an applause.

Gr8 in night light
I’ve used a couple of Fuji cameras before which gave good pictures in day conditions but struggled in dark conditions. So the S20 Pro comes as a pleasant change. The pictures look equally good when shot in any type of shooting environment and that is the biggest plus of this Fuji camera. There are hordes of setting options. Features are easy to use plus the shutter lag is very small. I tried most of the options and was highly satisfied including the video shooting mode. Only negative feature is the designing and the camera bulk.
