Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P8
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P8 has been billed as an entry-level camera in Sony's compact P series. With 3.2 Effective Megapixel resolution and 1/2.7 inch Super HAD CCD; the P8 is an exciting new camera that is sure to go down well in the markets. It has an NP-FC11 InfoLithium battery for long-lasting battery life.
The P8 has a Compact Aluminum Body 157 cc and a 3x Optical zoom facility that gets you closer to your subjects. The P8 is a lightweight at 200 grams. Corresponding measurements are 4.4 x 2.2 x 1.4. The Optical zoom has a focal range of 6 - 18 mm. Users can attach conversion lenses to it. The P8 has the Histogram Indication, which indicates if any shot has been improperly executed. The Auto Daylight Synchronised Flash and the Slow Synchronized Flash work in tandem to make the job of handling complex situations an easy task.
The P8 has an excellent MPEG VX with Audio feature. Video clips can be accompanied by brief voiceover. On the minus side there is some image noise and compression artifacts plus purple fringing which does not bode well for professional use. The burst mode captures only two frames per second, again a minus point. But it has got a fast working time, something that is bound to be a consideration when you go shopping.

Perfect choice for laidback photographers
When selecting a camera, I was only looking for a simple easy to use piece at a reasonable cost. And the P8 had all of these making it an apt choice. It’s slim, nicely designed and very compact too which means you can carry it everywhere. U can make use of plenty of useful options. 3.2 megapixel should be good enough for amateurs. And somewhat surprisingly, even the video capturing is pretty good. Wud have liked better zooming features. Still very very pleased with the camera performance.
