A compact and affordable digital camera, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P41 has in store an amazing range of qualities that will surprise you, in view of its price.

Delivering high picture quality, the P41 is a 4.1 megapixel camera, weighing quite light at 4.7 ounces. It has a 3x digital zoom lens and a 3.6x Smart Zoom, albeit no optical zoom. Primarily a point-and-shoot camera, the P41 uses the Real Imaging Processor to lend it enhanced clarity and precision as far as picture quality is concerned. More importantly, the Real Image technology reduces shutter lags, thereby enhancing the response time. Despite having a fixed focus lens, sharp close ups are possible to be taken with the help of the 3x digital zoom.

Being a pocket-sized camera with manageable weight and convenient dimensions including rounded sides, this model seems to have compromised on its 64K coloured LCD, which is quite small at 1.5-inches. However, it cannot be considered small if compared to other cameras in the same price range. The camera also has a separate optical viewfinder and has five settings for still images, along with three more audio/video settings wherein one can shoot at the rate of up to 30 frames per second. The viewfinder enables correct composition of photographs at the level of the eye, besides providing stability and convenience in capturing movable objects.

Storage in the P41 is accommodated in Memory Sticks, and the camera also supports Memory Stick Pro media, which can store up to 1 gigabyte. Additional features include the Auto Bright Monitoring feature that will assist you frame images in very poor light or no light situations.
