Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P120

This camera is one must-have digital equipment in every photo enthusiast’s shopping kit. Such are the power-packed features that it is difficult to know where to begin. As usual, the optics first, the DSC-P120 has a 5.1 Effective Megapixel capacity with 3x Optical Zoom, up to 12x Smart Zoom and 6x Precision Digital Zoom.

The camera has the Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens system that is largely responsible for the huge demand of these cameras. The camera weighs just 147 grams, something that allows users a fair degree of flexibility when using it. Other corresponding measurements are 10.8 cm x 2.7 cm x 5.2 cm. The Start-up time of 1.3 seconds means that users can quickly set up photographs on the spur of the moment.

The Real Imaging Processor is an asset in this type of camera since it is responsible for the clarity of the images, which are excellent in the DSC-P120. The MPEG VX Fine with Audio feature gives high-quality video clips and is ideal for everyday use. If you are worried about imperfect exposure, the Histogram Indication will alert you if that is the case. The USB 2.0 High Speed Transfer provides connectivity option. The DSC-P120 is PictBridge Compatible and has also got an in-built Red Eye Reduction feature.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P120 is ideal for those who prefer action in small doses.

Flash is really bad
I’ve been using this camera for close to a year and it has given mixed results. There are some nice features like the 5 megapixel and the Carl Zeiss lens. But when it comes to picture quality, the bright light pics are good but the flash is highly ineffective. Other than that, the camera performance is speedy. I used the movie mode and found it pleasingly good. Another nice feature is the battery life which turns out to be better than what I expected. Inclusion of the USB 2.0 also made me happy. Basically wud rate it as an average camera.
