Sony MVC-CD500
This offering from Sony is a real head turner, in its complete black garb. The CD500 is a highly effective camera with five-mega pixels and a top-quality Carl Zeiss 3x optical zoom lens.
This camera is noticeably lighter and even cheaper than the earlier four-megapixel Mavica CD400 and is proficient to click photographs of resolutions up to 2,592 x 1,944 pixels. It has a big LCD colour screen that makes viewing and composition of images very easy. The LCD of the CD500 additionally displays information on the screen pertaining to the amount of charge left in the battery, the capacity of the CD, the status of flash along with the quantity of images present, the types of exposures etc.
An interesting feature found in the CD500 is the “Solar Assist” feature, which comprises of a little clear window over the LCD that gives required extra light from the back of the panel during bright light. This supplemented lighting enhances the effective brightness of the LCD's backlight, making the display much more usable in direct sunlight and other very bright shooting conditions. Furthermore, the CD500 comes with a hot shoe terminal through which one can attach an external flash and adjust the camera according to low light conditions.
Sony’s Hologram AF option is also found in this model and the camera does not restrict its usage to only low light conditions. The Hologram AF is employed whenever necessary, even during normal light in case the contrast is found to be inadequate for proper focus, as detected by the contrast-detection AF system. Sony brought the Hologram AF first with its top-notch DSC-F707 Cyber-shot model. In addition, the camera’s multipoint autofocus technology ensures accurate pictures by estimating the right placement of the subject, and computing the distance from the left, right as well as the centre to ensure that subjects appear correctly in the centre of the frame, and not on its fringes.

10/10 for the Sony MVC-CD500
There is not one thing I hate about this Sony camera. I purchased this as long as a year back and still enthralled by its superb picture quality. This is thanks to the many excellent features sony has provided with this camera. The 5-MP camera has the mind-blowing 3x optical zoom. And the LCD screen is really good not just for its quality but also because it displays a variety of important information. It’s truly good. Pictures are xcellent in all types of conditions. The build quality is amazing. And I also like the black colouring which gives the camera such a magnificent feel. I read somewhere that this camera is very, very bulky for easy operation. Which camera r u talking abt. Maybe u r a bit 2 used 2 baby cameras. I just want to say one thing. I LOVE THIS CAMERA. And believe me u will like it too.
