Samsung DIGIMAX U-CA 501
In an age where the maximum is sought in the most compact form, the Digimax U-CA 501 comes across as a really well designed model that will fit into your pocket, most comfortably.
Having arrived in a lustrous and conspicuously small design measuring 97 x 52 x 25 mm, the Digimax U-CA 501 does have a lot to offer with its impressive 5 mega pixels sensor and a classy look that could even make a passer-by stop and stare! The camera sports a 2.0” TFT LCD screen that is a resplendent expanse even when taken outdoors in strong sunlight. While reviewing pictures, the Digimax U-CA 501’s 8X digital maximum zoom offers good help in inspecting fine details of the snaps taken.
Other premium attributes of this camera include the 5.8mm focal length lens, i.e. equivalent to 35mm in the 35mm format, with a digital zoom of 5.0 xs. Shutter Speed of the camera extends from 2 to 1/1000 of a second in the day, while 8 to 1/1000 in the Night Mode. Moreover, its 8 white balance settings, which includes the custom settings, present incredibly beautiful photographs in all light conditions.
Matching up to the current trend of having videos coupled with still photography, the Digimax U-CA 501 is able to take films with audio in the VGA mode at 640 x 480 resolutions at a remarkable pace of 24fps up to the space left in the memory card.
The camera’s en-suite microphone and sound enables the Digimax 501 to record sound continuously for up to an hour. Besides, a USB port and a video out are seen in the camera backed with 2 separate power sources, namely the CPI and the Li-ion battery SLB-1137.

It's a no no
I bought a Samsung Digimax U-CA3 on my friend's sigestion who swore by it. First few days, I had a whale of a time clicking away to glory. Being sleek and portable was a bonus. But when I tried to plug in and directly download the picures to our Mac, we were forced to buy a separate card reader. The picture quality was a damper being too grainy. The exposures were a failure. For the same price, you get a superior camera.
