Nikon D50 Kit
Heard of a feather-light camera? Well, relax! Of course, we mean ‘feather-light’ with respect to other cameras. Explore Nikon’s D50 kit that is a tiny and an almost weightless camera and you will know exactly what we mean.
Despite resembling the D70 kit strongly, the D50 kit is a far much lighter and smaller device. Having a 6.1 effective megapixel sensor, the D50 kit offers complete automatic control, various scene modes as well as total manual adjustments. Targeted for serious photographers, this kit has been designed effectively to make its usage highly convenient and valuable.
The feature that is most striking and remarkable in the D50 kit is its kit lens, or the AF-S Zoom-Nikkor ED 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G DX, that comes with the camera. This lens is mainly fabricated with plastic and thereby hardly has any weight. More importantly, the camera does not compromise on its durability in view of its weight and Nikon has been careful enough to have a metallic lens tripod mount that speaks volumes of the kit’s durability and robust build.
The D50 kit also possesses a ‘Silent Wave Motor’ built inside the kit’s lens, which enables soundless focus. Meanwhile, the D50 kit can shoot continuously at the rate of 2.5 frames per second together with up to 1/4000 sec of shutter speeds and 1/500 sec of Flash Sync Speed.
Control buttons at the rear of the D50 kit are ergonomically placed and distinctly marked. It displays a 2.0" LCD screen of 130,000-pixels. However, there is no defence cover to safeguard the LCD screen from marks and scratches.
