Nikon D2H
While some deem Nikon’s D2H to be one of the finest digital SLR available today considering its excellent form, design and quality, others dismiss it as a weak camera on account of it having a 4.1 megapixel sensor, which is quite low if compared to other contemporary cameras with higher pixel counts.
Nevertheless, the D2H camera is a favourite amongst many who claim that its 4.1 megapixel count is actually a boon since one does not have to bother with large and cumbersome file sizes, and can comfortably handle the camera’s petite and compact image files, rendering work easier and swifter.
Producing ‘uncompressed’ files of average 6 megabytes in the Raw format and compressed Raw files around the 3-megabyte scale, this D2H also houses three settings to adjust image quality for big and standard sized Jpegs. Having small image files implies a greater quantity of images in the memory card as well as increased storage capacity in the hard drive of the computer, together with quick documentation and recording to the DVD or CD-ROM.
If you’re thinking that this low pixel camera gives equally poor image quality and thereby it doesn’t make sense to consider the practicality of file sizes in comparison to quality, you are highly mistaken. This camera does not disappoint when it comes to delivering optimum results. In fact, quality of pictures in the D2H can be placed parallel to some very high pixel digital cameras, what with its resplendent and vivid images that carry rich details and have neat and smooth colour tones.
It has an en-suite Intervalometer to shoot photographs without commanding your entire attention. You can select the time at which you want photographs and the camera will click snaps just at your chosen time gap, till 999 frames. You can also choose the number of snaps you want. So, the D2H can be called ideal for use as a hidden camera, shooting wildlife with self-participation in one’s family snaps. Besides, the D2H offers a quick autofocus function for 11 areas, and shoots up to 8fps during the Continuous High Speed (CH) mode. One can adjust the speed by using the Continuous Low Speed (CL) mode, and bring it anywhere between 1-7 frames per second.
A ‘large’ aspect of this model is its impressive LCD screen that is fairly bigger and brighter than its predecessors. Adjust it right and you will witness one of the most splendid and precise photographs taken on a digital SLR.

A simple yet excellent buy
I love this camera for its simplicity as im not the one to go in for frills that only render operations complex and difficult! Its big screen was also very attractive and convenient to use.
