Nikon 8800
Nikon 8800 could be called another digital camera in the 8 Megapixel camera category, but this one is different.
Housing a 10x optical zoom with Extra Low Dispersion or ED lens elements, the 8800 has arrived with an extremely effective Vibration Reduction feature, through which trivial movements are automatically identified and rectified to prevent hazy images. So now you can click great photographs with this camera in your hand instead of placing it on a tripod!
Apart from that, the Coolpix 8800 has a 10X long zoom lens, backing for Nikon's i-TTL technology, SB600 as well as the SB800 external flash units. Nikon 8800 boasts of an advanced design with dimensions of 4.6-by-3.3-by-4.8-inch. It comes with a top-notch JPEG mode at a compression ratio of 1:2.
Ergonomically designed to capture the attention of a mature photographer’s taste, the Coolpix 8800 has all that is required to produce stunning shots. What’s more, you can take this piece along wherever you go owing to its small and light design. Its flexible ‘vary-angle monitor’ at the camera’s rear leaves one free to take snaps from any angle or corner.
This model can produce clips of 640x480-pixel resolution at the rate of 30fps continuously for 60 seconds, along with films of 320x240-pixel either entirely in colour or in black and white at the rate of 15fps, and this would happen till the capacity of the camera’s memory card allowed.

good and bad
It’s really difficult to describe this camera. It has got some really impressive features and some atrocious ones too. The final image quality isn’t bad but while operating the camera you are likely come across some pretty mediocre functions. The optical zoom feature and anti vibration system perform well. Even the video shooting mode seems comprehensive. But the wide angle setting is bad and manual focus too is rather incomprehensible. I did not find the autofocus system helpful either especially in low light conditions. Colour and contrast are good. I just didn’t like the macro mode, it’s useless. It gives too mixed vibes and as such, I don’t think it can be rated as a good camera.
