Canon IXUS 700
Take photographs in ultimate style and sophistication with the Canon IXUS 700. Boxed up in a curvy design, called the ‘perpetual curve’ pattern, this camera is a stunner, much like the photographs it produces; absolutely beautiful.
Employing a lens with a 3x zoom, the IXUS 700 has 7.1 Megapixel power and a spectacular and adequately sharp 2.0", 118,000-pixel LCD. The IXUS 700 offers an automatic ‘Night Display’ that adjusts and increases light according to the intensity of darkness outside, along with a controllable ‘Quick-bright’ operation, which permits one to structure and assess photos aptly in poor light conditions. While being 8% lighter than the previous model, this digital camera sports a fresh and innovative mode dial in place of a switch at the camera’s rear.
A rather striking characteristic in the IXUS 700 that is worth noting is its capability to stay in the shooting mode indefinitely. One can continue shooting for around 2 frames per second till the memory card lasts, courtesy the highly competent DIGIC II processor that lends this small camera its breathtaking speed.
Unleash your creativity and play with ‘My Colours’ to create photographs with your favourite colours! So, now you can opt for a red lawn instead of a green one, or a green street in place of a grey one! Just about anything at all!
Canon’s attempt to make a breakthrough and leap towards innovation and style is fairly evident in its IXUS 700. It has taken special care to combine splendour and quality in a small box that is so magnetically designed that it invites attention even before you start clicking!

What’s so gr8 abt this?
Initially, I was completely taken aback by the stunning IXUS 700. But as time passed by, I realized that it was anything but exceptional. It has a 7-megapixel sensor and looks gorgeously beautiful. The LCD is really nice and can be viewed effectively in most conditions. While the picture quality is reasonably good, sometimes they lack the sharpness that one expects from a digital camera. Among the features, I admire the ‘My Colours’ function. But a few of the scene modes like snow and clouds don’t give the desired results. It is a good camera no doubt but could have been much much better.
