Samsung D410
All your small screen problems will immediately fade away once you look at the D410. Splurging on a good expanse of screen with the D410, Samsung promises an extravaganza for people who love gaming and viewing crisp coloured pictures.
Sized at 98x48x24 mm and weighing 116g, this phone comes under the hefty category. It sports a 300,000 pixels rotating camera that is strategically located in the front, helping you to take photographs of things around you or even images of your own self quite effortlessly. Including digital zoom, controls for the intensity of brightness as well as the multi-shot function that allows one to take up to 15 pictures at a go, the D410 also permits you to record videos through its camcorder facility.
Moreover, with its exclusive magnanimous screen that boasts of a resolution of 176 x 200 pixels and 262,000 colours, photos and videos exhibited are very clear and bright in almost all light conditions.
Samsung seems to have also taken care to correct some of its misses in the last few models by incorporating certain user-friendly features in the tri-band D410, such as single touch operations to run the camera, WAP, the texting facility, and the like. Its set of 64-voice polyphonic ringtones is also worth mentioning. Besides, the phone supports, SMS, MMS, EMS and E-mail through Infrared.
However, the phone has an external aerial that is just too conspicuous, and doesn’t match the rest of the exteriors at all. Even worse, it tarnishes the beauty of the D410’s external display and is prone to damage.
In addition, the camera is not intelligent enough to know where it is facing, so one has to keep adjusting it frequently to ensure upright images. Now that is a lot of hard work!
The absence of Bluetooth is another miss in the D410, along with its insufficient memory for stocking pictures and videos. Nevertheless, the phone is one of the best as far as its durability is concerned in spite of it being the slide up type. Likewise, its much-criticized external aerial does not disappoint regarding its reception qualities, as it does not lose signal very often.

Messaging feature of this phone will drive you crazy
I have been using this phone for more than 5-6 months and have been really disappointed so much so that I’m planning to sell it off sooner rather than later. The voice quality of the phone is extremely bad and the reception is no better. Designing is not bad but I somehow don’t like the screen. Messaging is a hell of a job. You have to really be careful while using this function or you’ll end up tearing your hair. I did not find the video recording quality too good. Neither was there anything exceptional about the ringtones. Well, it’s disappointing and I’ m just looking to get rid of it asap.
