Samsung E330
Samsung E330 is a flip phone with a dual display and size of 87 x 41 x 23 mm. The 85 g lightweight phone is identical to most Samsung clamshells. The only differential factor can be the antenna which is housed internally.
Designing of E330 is hip with attractive silver and finely curved edges. The keys are oval shaped complementing the phone design. Navigating might not be easy for starters. But once you become accustomed to the functions, things will fall into place.
External display of E330 reveals a 96 x 96 pixel UFB screen compatible with 65 k colours. You can view a clock on the outer screen which can be switched on even when the device is on standby courtesy a volume key placed on the side.
The internal screen is also capable of holding 65 k colours but has a better 128 x 160-pixel resolution. It is possible to alter the contrasts for both the internal and external screen.
Even so, the internal display lacks the desired clarity. This is a striking deficiency of E330 even though the colours are very much vibrant. The in-built wallpapers do tend to gloss up the screen but cannot compensate for the above mentioned fault in anyway.
Messaging features of E330 includes SMS, EMS and MMS.
The in-built VGA camera has a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, nothing much to rave about. Picture quality too cannot be described as exceptional. But the night mode and picture framing effects along with a negligible shutter lag are among its positive features.
A noise clarity function present automatically tunes the handset volume in accordance with the surrounding decibels.
There are 40-voice polyphonic ringtones. The headset is mono only and has to fitted in a 2.5mm earphone jack. But it is somehow comfortable enough. Handsfree usage is possible thanks to the superior speakerphone.
Organiser features of the phone include calendar, calculator, memo book, stopwatch, currency converter et al.
You can also try your hand at the built-in Java games.
This phone is not for constant travellers as it a dualband.
Being WAP 2.0 enabled, interned surfing is possible at GPRS speeds.
While the reception and voice quality are very much satisfactory, E 330’s 800mAh Lithium-ion battery can run for more than three days on average use.
Evaluating all pros and cons, E330 can be termed as a reasonable offering from Samsung, excluding the blurred display and dualband only capabilities.

Nothing bad about it
If you want a phone that does the simple functions well, this one is definitely for you. It is very very easy to use. The external screen has some important information to display and the inner colour display is also good. Reception is good, voice quality is excellent and messaging too is nice with SMS, EMS and MMS all present. The used the camera is will not say that the picture quality was out of this world. But it was by no means bad. I like this camera even more because in spite of numerous tries, I have been unsuccessful in finding any major flaws in the camera. Take my word ,go get it.
