Samsung E700
This clamshell offering by Samsung is one of its kind. Sheathed in a smart and smooth exterior, the E700 is a phone that attracts the onlooker’s attention in its silver and dark blue shade.
The E700 weighs 88g and measures 90 X 45 X 23 mm, and sports the exclusive intenna. Moreover, this dual-band phone has a set of high-end polyphonic ringtones and downloadable Java games, besides its exceptional VGA camera that produces dumbfounding photographs in all light conditions. Most fascinating is the camera’s night mode that gives vivid results despite the absence of a flash. However, you cannot choose to switch off the sound of the camera, even though you might be able to adjust its volume.
Moreover, you can go on a clicking spree with the E700, take up to 15 images at a go, twist and turn them, and view them from your PC too. The camera has a self-portrait as well as a multi-shot function that enhance the functionality of the phone. Also, the phone’s 65K colour TFT, 128x160 pixels screen adds on to the crispness and clarity of the E700’s images. The phone backs chief messaging applications, like SMS, MMS as well as EMS.
A major disadvantage with this phone is its confined infrared connectivity. In this era where a triband/quad band phone with the Bluetooth technology are quite common, the E700 is somewhat lagging behind.

Bad screen, awful camera, pathetic phone
This is an absolutely patheeeeetic phone. The display is rubbish. The inner screen is hardly visible. It becomes totally white in colour many times. And boy oh boy read this on occasions, only half of the screen is functional. Things don’t get any better. Consider yourself lucky if you get good reception from this phone. Not too long after I purchased it, the camera fell so sick that it stopped functioning all together. I’m already tired of telling you so many weaknesses of this phone. As you don’t judge a book by a cover, so also don’t evaluate this phone the basis of its appearance which is rather tempting.
