Sony Ericsson T230

This phone directs you towards an easy and simple path towards mobile telephony. Measuring about 101 x 43.9 x 19 mm and weighing a handy 79 grams, the T230 seems very basic in its slim candybar-shaped body.

The T230 has a 101 x 80-pixel display with a 12-bit color screen that looks too hazy and muddled. The keys also give a rather primitive impression besides being cumbersome in operation. However, Sony has tried to encompass exclusivity in this model along with simplicity to help you keep pace with the ‘which-mobile-model-looks- better’ race.

Meanwhile, this phone offers fun gaming experiences with downloadable games and a rocker joystick. The menu is quite user-friendly with animated depictions of each category. Nevertheless, one cannot overlook Ericsson’s miserly attitude while designing the keypad since one has to be extremely cautious while typing, as the buttons are too small and unwieldy.

Otherwise, the dual band T230 offers you ample scope of sending interesting and creative messages with sounds and pictures in them, with support for MMS and a set of 32-voice polyphonic ringtones. This phone is an inexpensive way to go cellular, especially meant for those who are content with less.

Not worth having
I purchased this phone close to a year back and was very happy with it initially. But as time passed by I realized I had wasted my money on a cheap product. The colour screen that impressed me initially actually turned out to one of the most irritating aspects. Hardly anything was visible from the screen. There is a camera feature but it is very much useless as the photos are pathetic. Memory features are nil. Designing too is bad. Even SMSing is a headache. Not recommended from my side.

Looks dull and dated
I really find this phone tiresome! Why on earth did i buy this, i really cant figure out! The keys are so closely set that i happen to always press the wrong button! Another thing that is quite irritating is its hazy display. I feel so depressed everytime i look at it. IT really should have been brighter.
