Sony Ericsson T310
Sony Ericsson’s T310 is the enhanced version of T300 with a slick design and some useful updated features.
A triband, the T310 is powered by a Li-Polymer battery providing 11 hours of talktime and 400 hours of standby.
It has reasonable dimensions of 106 х 48 х21mm and weight of 97 g. But performance wise, fails on a few counts.
Colour display isn’t quite up to the mark supporting only 256 colours with a resolution of 101 x 80 pixels. Phonebook memory gives you the provision to save a disappointingly low 250 contacts. In every contact of yours, you can store three phone numbers and one email address.
Most unsatisfactory is the fact that T310 does not support J2ME application. As it is, T310 is not Bluetooth enabled. So it was even for essential for T310 to be J2ME compliant. Owing to this pitfall, customers will miss out on some great Java based services.
There’s some good news for the game freaks though. Since The T310 is Mophun compliant, you can download Mophun games. The phone provides e-mail support for POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP.
And there are some more plusses too. Simple Navigation is facilitated via the four way joystick on the keypad and you shouldn’t find difficulties in accessing the required information. The internal antenna gives good reception quality with hardly any interference while conversing on the phone.
T310 comes without an in-built camera. Even so, an optional camera accessory will assist you in taking snaps. Apart from saving it in the phone memory, you can forward it through MMS.
As expected with most mobiles these days, the polyphonic ringtones are incorporated. T310 plays 32 chords polyphonic ringtones. It is further possible to download ringtones and also edit ringtones via the ringtone editor.
2 MB of memory space available can be shared for many phone functions like saving images and games other than ringtones.
Care has been taken to include the customary features like alarm, calendar and calculator.
Infra red port can be used for data transmissions. But just in case the wireless technology fails, you can always fall back on USB. GPRS network supports high speed data transfer.
Apart from predictive text input for messaging, mobile chat is also possible.
You can make use of internet facility based on WAP 2.0. Voice memo and voice dialling are other impressive features of T310.
Many of the functions present in T310 have good utility factor. But the absence of Bluetooth and J2ME will definitely make prospective customers have second thoughts about owning it.

A junk mobile
When I first purchased the Sony Ericsson T310, I was really happy. I liked the styling of the phone and cute design. But after that, I have been facing a lot of problems. The camera is really poor. Display also doesn’t look very powerful. I tried playing few of the games found most of them hoooooorible. It’s really nothing more than a waste of precious money.
