The keypad of 6230 is comparatively bigger. But once you get used to it, operating it isn’t too much of a task. Placed on the side is the volume control which is smoother in comparison to some other volume controls. The back cover is pretty fragile and one gets the feeling it can be cracked rather easily.
Among the plethora of pre-installed features include, the Calendar holds, To-Do list, Notes, Wallet, Converter II, World Clock II, Calculator and much more.
But Multimedia features are undoubtedly the biggest attention attracting characteristics of 6230. Add-ons to the previous Nokia handsets include amongst others the VGA camera takes snaps at 640x480 pixels resolution. To be frank picture quality won’t pass off as exceptional, but at least it gives good results with the basic feature it inculcates such as night and portrait (80 x 96 pixels) settings and also a 10-second self-timer.
The video camera allows you to record 4 minute clips if you have the required memory. You are provided with the option of turning of the microphone while shooting a video clip in so as to avoid means unwanted distractions or if you feel that audio is not essential for a particular video.
The advanced MMS editor permits having multiple slides in a MMS message with every slide capable of featuring picture, video, text etc. The current version of the MMS editor also regulates timings of the slides and helps you organize presentations in a professional manner.
Enjoy music via the inbuilt FM radio. Stereo is suitable for both MP3 and AAC. The FM radio gives plenty of useful options. You can preset channels and it also provides manual, automatic, and direct frequency tuning.
The entrepreneurs can take advantage of accessing Microsoft Outlook thanks to the PC Suite software.
Memory wise, you get 7MB of free storage space in the handset with the 32MB MMC card useful in case of further expansions.
6230 gives you a talktime of five hours and standby period of 300 minutes.
6230 basically is for those who don’t pay much attention to stylish and whose buying habits are dictated only by the utility factor.

My phone cum music player
This is an all-in-one phone in the true sense. Apart from the nice phone features, you will find an MMC card slot with the maximum capability of 1GB. The phone comes with a 32MB card. This phone has the ability to play MP3 files. Camera features are also exceptionally good. While the menu shouldn’t give u an inch of trouble, getting used to the keys might take some time. Once that is done, you are all ready for a gr8 mobiling experience. Plenty of other features are also present which you are sure to like.

All in one phone
Nokia 6230 has almost everything you expect from a good cell phone. Great camera, Bluetooth which only enhances the cell features, brilliant speaker phone, great reception and much much more. There is also an MP3 player and FM radio. The piece slips nicely into the hands. And there’s really nothing much more you can ask for in a phone. At least I can’t think of many.
