Nokia 6260

Comfortable doing the twists and turns? Well, we’re not talking about your waist but the Nokia 6260 that can become a toy for your hands if you need something to fiddle with!

A smart phone in the clamshell category, the Nokia 6260 has a 65K colour screen that rotates up and down, left and right, keeping your hands full at a boring movie! Presenting advanced mobile features like wireless Bluetooth connectivity, VGA camera of 300,000 pixels with video recording, and push-to-talk utility, the triple band 6260 phone operates on the Symbian OS platform and is a traveller’s friend all the way. Apt network security is also provided to corporate servers through the mobile VPN client.

This smartphone additionally offers expedient internet services with mobile XHTML and HTML browsers, and one can check e-mail conveniently and view attachments that are network compatible through the presentation and document viewer. Also, calendars or contacts can be updated locally or remotely via data synchronisation and there are exchangeable multimedia memory cards where email attachments, pictures, video recordings, as well as texts can be stored.

To complete the package, the 6260 has an en-suite FM radio and a not-so-good mono MP3 player. Besides the unsatisfactory MP3 player, the smartphone goofs up on a number of software and reliability fronts just like many of its predecessors.

Horrendous
I am totally fed up with phone. Even my one year old son hasn’t given me so much trouble as this 6260 has in the past one month. I’ve faced numerous problems with this phone. There are plenty and plenty of system errors. Worse, the customer service fellas are a hopeless bunch. Sometimes I feel I know more abt the product that them. Anyways there are just too many flaws relating to this phone and I don’t want to waste my time and energy trying to list it out. I did try to find out some positives only to give myself some consolation. Sadly, there weren’t any.

As bad as it gets
All I can say about the Nokia 6260 is that it is a pathetic phone. I sold it only a couple of months after purchasing it. Firstly, it’s much heavier than what a mobile should weigh. The camera cum video recorder is a total waste. Pictures don’t look natural and neither is the sound audible. I thought ringtones at least might be cool. But even that nice thought of mine was shattered. Tried hard finding some positives. Hardly any.
