Nokia 6681 – a smarter mobile phone?
Don’t get put off by the ‘plain-Jane’ looks of the Nokia 6681. This handset packs a lot of features that earn it the generic term ‘smartphone’. Among its many features are Active standby mode, 1.3 MP camera with flash, stereophonic MP3 player, Bluetooth, improved internet browser and the upgraded series 60 O/S.
Ignore the plastic keypad which gives it a cheapish look. Its functions are good enough to make you ignore any such shortcoming.
The camera lens at the back is covered by a sliding plate. It gives you reasonably sharp images in 1280x960 pixels. It gets automatically activated by sliding the covering plate.
The Active Standby can be turned off when you wish; e.g. during a holiday. The stereo MP3 player has search and play list capabilities. The USB 2.0 allows you to copy MP3 files, pictures and videos faster.
Sound quality during calls is also exceptionally good - both through the headset as well as the speaker. And no feedbacks like in many other phones. If you get a call while listening to a song from your MP3, the song is stopped automatically if you answer the call. It has an ‘offline/flight’ mode with which you can continue listening to music while the phone function is off during a flight.
Quick office applications are also included such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe Reader. The Dictaphone is of little use because of its 1 minute duration.
On the downside, there is no radio and the handset works only with RS-MMC Dual Voltage cards. It is shipped with a 64MB card to supplement the 8 MB internal memory.

Why you no mention less battery life?
Everything good in Nokia 6681 phone. I not use lot features. What I will do Internet. I requires phone with good camera and listening songs. Frend showd how to oprate MP3 but I would likes radio. This phone battery need recharging every nite. The guys at Rocky's Pub&Inn not allow recharging. Everyday wake up with headache - battries down both system.

Cell with many impressive features
I purchased this phone just about a week back and it has been so far so good. The designing is certainly not great by any stretch of the imagination. But other features do more than make up for it. In-built camera gives reasonably good results and the reception is also very clear. I love all the themes and overall operating it is pretty easy. How I wished for an in-built radio though? Anyways, it was certainly worth spending money on this phone.
