Nokia 6810

Promoted as an enhanced messaging device, some impressive features of 6810 consist of e-mail access supporting Blackberry connectivity (extremely helpful for corporates), MMS, mobile chat feature, infra-red Nokia cable port and facility to download Java applications. Electronic wallet system is useful for safeguarding credit card particulars & passwords.
When evaluated with regards to 6800, 6810 fares better as it has facilitates Bluetooth wireless connectivity, the latest EDGE swift data technology and not least of all is a triband. 6810 also incorporates the standard features like alarm, clock, calculator, currency converter and stopwatch.
The general perception about Nokia 6810 is that it is very bulky due to the full fledged opening keyboard. But with a weight of 122g, it cannot be placed in the category of excessively large phones. Its size of 119 x 55 x 23 mm is quite similar to 3510, albeit a bit broad. It is not impossible to carry the piece in your pocket if you are willing to bear a little bit of extra burden.
At the base of the phone, you can locate a standard Pop-port connector whereas the contact plates are seated at the top. On opening the plates, you can find the keyboard arrangements.
To unwrap, you are required to push the cover beneath the display. Be extremely careful though as the phone does not have a backlash. Only the back covering enclosing the battery features a tiny backlash.
6810 is offered with a 4-directional joystick of which just two come in handy- the standard vertical and horizontal direction keys. It’s unfeasible to operate the joystick as the buttons are too deep-seated in the phone. This can be attributed to the width of the phone as even a straightforward yet most important function like dialing a phone number becomes a more than tedious job. Using the soft keys is considered a better option.
Having exactly the same display and menu as Nokia 7210, additional pre-installed pictures in the menu interface is the only difference.
Functioning on a lithium-ion battery of 950 mAh capacity, 6810 gives customers six hours of talktime for normal use and offers 15 days of standby time according to Nokia.
Targeted at niche customers, specifically corporates, for whom accessing their e-mail on the go is a prerequisite.

Gr8 business phone
I love this Nokia 6810 for a lot of reasons. It is excellently designed and is the best business phone I have seen till date. Once you get used to operating the keyboard, it will be a very handy feature. This phone is compliant with Blackberry too. Speakerphones are not bad. While it’s relatively big, it isn’t all that heavy. There is a blue-tooth headset to round it off.

Boy this is good
After having used the phone for more than two months, I would rate Nokia 6810 very highly. The trendy design was the first thing that attracted me towards the mobile. But now I find that it is more than user friendly. Navigating through the various options is a child’s play thanks to the helpful menu. I more than like the QWERTY-keyboard. And people might find it a bit too heavy but I certainly don’t mind.
