Nokia 6820
The Nokia 6820 is the successor to the extremely popular 6800 released in 2003. While the shape and structure are hardly altered, the 6820 comes with a few additional enhancements that are sure to make you sit up and take notice.
Featuring EDGE technology, triple band potential and BlackBerry connectivity, the phone is inclusive of 3.5MB internal memory for text and multimedia messaging, ringing tones, images, video clips etc.
Bluetooth facility can be utilized to share documents and images with you PC. The Notes application of Nokia recognizes customary text files, which is a good bonus.
6820’s display offers 4,096 colours nothing new when compared with preceding Nokia handsets. The 128 x 128 pixels resolution is also not the greatest considering it was promoted as a modish messaging device.
The camera can take stills up to 352 x 288 pixels and videos at 128 x 96 pixels. Picture quality is pretty ordinary considering the advanced camera phones around.
Weighing 100 g with dimensions of 106x46x21mm, it pretty much is like the usual Nokia handset at least in appearance. The mixture of blue-and-gray color gives 6820 a nice feel.
Opening from the bottom, 6820 functions horizontally with the display evident on either side of the keyboard. All in all, Nokia has done a reasonable job with the design and structure.
The button designs seem faultily placed though. Two rims running down the number pad block the way of thumb typing.
The smaller frame also is a big disadvantage with no gap between each button of the QWERTY keyboard. As a result, users have to be extra careful while typing.
The "Close” button is found just next to space bar. Thus, users have to be cautious not to close their messages inadvertently.
Messaging through QWERTY is pleasing. The speed might not be great but while typing emails and big documents, it facilitates quick inclusion of punctuation and easy formatting.
It has great reception and voice quality is highly superior. The battery isn’t satisfactory as the 850mAh Lithium-ion cell runs less than three days on normal usage.
If you’re looking for multi-messaging features, then you sure can try this out.

Nice phone but not necessarily the ideal choice
When someone uses a mobile for over a year, it wud be apt to think that he must be very satisfied with its performance. While I don’t deny it, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone at the outset as well because there are certainly some issues with the phone which won’t please many. First and foremost, it is very simple to use. Sending text messages is a breeze and Bluetooth is exceptional. Camera performance is so bad that I treat it with as a non-camera phone. Display features are disappointing with a low resolution. You won’t be able to hear any damn thing in crowded places like a market. I have managed to live with all this b’coz I mostly only make calls and send messages. The choice is now totally yours.

Gr8 phone… well not quite
There are many positives of Nokia 6820. First and foremost, the designing is high class. The sound quality is superior and I was able to hear the phone ring even in a extremely crowded market. I found the interface to be more than user friendly. And the battery too runs long enough so as not to exasperate you too much. I love using Bluetooth. But it is not all hunky dory. The camera certainly should be providing better quality pictures than it does. And the ringtones simply suck. It is a really good phone no doubt but with a bit more attention paid to the above flaws, it could have been a great one.
