20th Century Fox- Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith (2005)

After giving us dreary flicks like The Phantom Menace and Attack Of The Clones, George Lucas finally gets his bearings right with Revene of the Sith- the final part of the prequels which started in 1977.

Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and staunch follower, Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), are, with the other Jedi knights, defending the Republic against the intrusions of the Sith and their associates headed by Count Dooku (Christopher Lee) and his henchman, General Grievous. In the interim, the Chancellor of the Republic, Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid), is occupied with his deceitful politics, suspected by nobody but Anakin and Obi-Wan. Anakin, too, is a confused soul caught between his Jedi devotion to unselfish duty and a temping feeling that he may eventually get to wear the mask of Darth Vader. This enticing contemplation forms the premise of the film.

Revenge Of The Sith interweaves an intricate storyline with abundance of frenzied action. The initial 15-20 minutes is full of space fights, massive explosions and plenty of acrobatics.

Performance wise, Christensen comes of age in the lead role while Ewan McGregor as Anakin's mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi too makes an impact.

The script has its share of loopholes, but it is undoubtedly the best in the trilogy.

Cha Mr Saleem Rushdie, at first I thinks you is promoting dis sick film. Then, LOL, I reads full review. Man, sorry, mean no disrespect, but gramps, you is tru cool. Personally, I thinks Star Wars was written by some accountant after taking overdose of antidepressants.

A very funny film
Ha Ha. My grandson and I both had a hearty laugh watching it. Even Spotty, my Dalmatian, tried his best not to fall off the sofa. I think George Lucas has finally lost it. He takes himself and the storyline so seriously. Archie (my grandson) left the room twenty seven times while the DVD ran. At one point he tossed the baloney at the TV. Ridiculous costumes and an even more ridiculous plot. If this movie is sci-fi than I'm Superman. I rename it: Star Bores - Revenge of the Mentally Sick.

Best prequel without doubt
Although there are quite a number of people who didn't quite enjoy Star Wars 1 & 2, I certainly did. And being an avid Star Wars fan, I was eagerly awaiting Revenge of the Sith. And god hasn't it been worth the wait. This is undoubtedly teh best of all the Star Wars. Right from the start the movie keeps you gripped. The space fights amazing but what was better was that the momentum was maintained for most. The storyline was excellent. Acting wise, both Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen leave their stamp on the film. Seems like George Lucas had reserved his best for the last.
