Warner Bros - Batman Begins (2005)
Batman Begins is fifth in the series of Batman movies and most interestingly is a sequel dealing with the birth of Batman. The bold and radiant superhero saga is full of action and fantasy.
Seen in the lead is Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne (a millionaire orphan) whose taken in by the mysterious Henri Ducard (played by Liam Neeson) to be a part of The League of Shadows. But while even while getting some handy guidance over there, Wayne has different perceptions on fighting crime and injustice.
While presenting himself as a fearsome being, Wayne takes advantage of his organization’s latest techno devices to create an awesome vigilante. Fear forms the film's premise and is also Batman’s supreme weapon.
Christian Bale plays the dual role of a hurt but resolute human being and the frightening Batman with sheen while Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy) too plays the bad guy with a spine-chilling effect.
Director Christopher Nolan has managed to weave together emotion and action very intelligently. At the same time, he has kept up with pace required for such an action flick which means it is certainly not short on entertainment value.

Better than all the earlier Batman films
I've been a batman fan since I was knee-high. I have seen all the previous Batman films and liked them(or thought I liked them). I watched 'Batman Begins' very closely, and let me tell you - the other movies simply pale before this one. This movie is superb in craft - kudos to director Christopher Nolan, with reasonably good performances, esp from Bale as the young millionaire nursing hurt and anger and deep dark secrets. There were some illogical jumps like the copter being sent to pick up Wayne from a Vietnamese prison. I nearly choked on my popcorn at that. Otherwise, my rating 9 out of 10.

Batman rules
This is one movie I have been waiting for months. And so I dearly hoped that the film lived up to all the hype. So did it? Very much so. The beginning was a bit boring but the film did pick up gradually. The action sequences are filmed superbly and the technology used is mind blowing. Christian Bale is brilliant in his rendering of Batman and the millionaire orphan. But the film wouldn’t have been as good if not for the gruesome villainous role taken on by Cillian Murphy. Katie Holmes unfortunately looks a complete misfit and is one of the few negative aspects of Batman Begins. But it is too minuscule a reason to stay away from this exciting venture. Go watch it.
