Overcoming evil forces: Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy
Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy can be termed as a shorter version of the THQ platformer that was released in 2003 end.
In Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy, you have to manage both the sphinx and the mummified Tutankhamen. The ultimate goal of both is clean up the Uruk city by overcoming the evil forces. But both have a different modus operandi and so you exercise varying degrees of control over both simultaneously.
The Sphinx can take the attack to the enemy camp with the help of swords and darts. Conversely, the incapacitated mummy can be set on fire electrocuted. The fire or electricity is then used to lay bare certain level mysteries.
The controls of the game are a bit weird; pressing up, for example, will take the character in the northeast direction. It might take some time getting used to it as the main attack button is on the number pad.
By the look of it, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is a very straightforward game. After you successfully clear a few stages and assemble 100 scarabs and breakable stuff, you are powerful enough to unlock one secret level after each of the main segments.
It is in these hidden levels that you find important clues regarding setting Tutankhamen back on the path of normalcy.

Neat graphics but disappointingly simple.
Why must game designers concentrate more on attractive graphics than on making the game interesting? Hey I'm not asking that they make the game complicated, I'm merely saying that such games must involve greater application of the mind. The Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy seemed interesting at first because you said the other hidden levels offered clues. But that's about it. The game is too simple and very low on thrills.

Superb game
I tried my hand at Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy and must say it rocks. The graphics are truly awesome. Once started playing the game and could not get up till I finished it. You are given two characters with different abilities and thankfully you can control both of them. You can do a lot with this game fight, solve mysterious riddles, and wow even set yourself on fire. The storyline is great and the locations used too are mind-blowing. I am particularly fond of the Mummy because of her antics. The game has all the essentials of an exciting adventure.
