Linksys WRT54GX with MIMO technology
The Linksys WRT54GX Wireless-G broadband router, equipped with SRX (Speed and Range eXpansion) feature, is the latest among many equipment to make makes use of MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology.
The dimensions of the square, silver router are similar to that of a hardback book and it has three antennas attached to the top panel. With four-wall mounting supports, it can be suspended on the walls and be clear of obstructions like furniture that can block signals. Nine LEDs placed on the top of the router lit up when the router is switched on.
An installation wizard CD is handed along with the device which helps set up the router.
With the browser-based configuration tool you can access all the customary Wi-Fi router settings. Further, the configuration tool helps you set up MAC address filters. You can also fine-tune WEP and WPA settings. Aiding you in keeping a keen eye on inward data packages through an SPI firewall, the tool also gives you the option of preventing users from opening certain sites by giving the URL of those sites.
Priced in the range of £84.22, the router comes with a three-year parts-and-labor warranty that includes toll-free, 24/7 phone support.

Smart and simple
what I like about this router is not just the good signal strength but also that I can instruct it not to open certain sites. There is a problem however: there are so many porn sites, many have innocuous URLs that only kids know about. My efforts to keep my younger siblings out of trouble are defeated. Otherwise this is a good product.

Great signal strength
The Linksys WRT54GX undoubtedly has a much better signal strength than many of the existing wireless routers. It’s extremely trouble-free to connect and worked without giving any troubles right from day one. I great a clear reception anywhere in the house as compared to my old one which has to be placed at a particular location every time to get good signals. What’s impressive is that the signals are consistently good without any disturbances in between. Like most quality stuffs, this too is a bit heavy on your pocket. But then it’s worth no doubt.
