More wizardly tales: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Harry Potter 6) is the sixth part of the Harry Potter book series written by J. K. Rowling.
The plot revolves around wizarding student Harry Potter’s Potter’s sixth year at Hogwarts Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and his friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
In this battle between good and evil, Lord Voldemort’s supremacy and supporters are increasing by the day.
The book moves the readers closer to the terrifying prospect of the big, final showdown between Harry and Lord Voldemort which is sure to come in the seventh book.
Containing less background history than Order of the Phoenix, the story is action packed. This book has more romance angle compared to the previous editions. There is also reflection of the grey areas between good and evil, the world of politics and the frailty of humans. Mostly a dark theme, it does have some moments of comic relief.
Many of the mysteries hinted at in the previous books are exposed like whether Ron or Harry will end up with Hermione and the identity of the half blood prince.
Published by Bloomsbury, this 607 page adventure can be purchased online for £8.99

Maturing its way through......
Seemed as though all of a decade has passed since we have had the pleasure of letting our fantastical imaginations flow loose via reading J.K. Rowling’s 6th sequel to the ever so loved Harry Potter series.
Much darker than the preceding books, the half blood prince dwells upon the growing up of Harry and his chums, Hermione and Ron, in a way that every parent of an adolescent can relate to. The grim reality of the world being taken over, looms larger and much more viciously over Potter and his allies, when Voldemort’s cronies, pose and prove to be a severe threat to any and everyone’s safety. Struggling through guessing the Half-blood prince’s real identity, the vain owner of a book of potions filled with deadly spells, Harry witnesses the brutal murder of someone near and dear to him which marks the beginning of the last book of the Potter series by Rowling.
A great journey into a world of fantasies, this book is by far the most gripping of all from the series. Rising gradually from a child’s fable to an adult’s feeble fantasy, this book has come a long way, by maintaining the pace and structure of the narration.

No where to go
Superbly packed with action and with little or no scope for imagination to flow, this book indeed has crossed all its previous 5 levels when it comes to foresightedness. Starting [as always] with a slower pace, the book starts to fascinate readers gradually and manages to leave the reader high and dry after a session of a euphoric drama cum action. Darker than the other volumes, this book has indeed surpassed the level from being a child's fiction to an adult's fantasy.

Very clever Rowling! A book designed for kids but targetted at grown-ups.
I have no issue with writers and artists who work for money. After all how can any art survive without the moolah? Rowling goes one, perhaps two steps further than all those money-minded fiction writers. She not only rakes in the moolah, she is shaping the minds of an entire generation right from their school-going days. And adults are equally fascinated by her books. They read very deep into her prosaic works and find hidden meanings which Rowling never intended in the first place. All you aspiring best-seller-writers, take a cue from Rowling.

treat for all Potter fans
After part five, I was eagerly awaiting Rowling’s next adventure. And the D day came on 16th July. And after reading, I’ve got to admit that it’s not as great as I expected but my no means is it disappointing. The story of Potter’s sixth year in school and his wizardry tales is sure to keep the readers mesmerized throughout. But maybe while concentrating all her focus on action Rowling’s missed out a bit in emotional and sentimental part. Another flipside is the Lupin and Tonks pairing which looks completely out of place. But overall you’ll be more than satisfied. So go ahead and grab your copy now.
