Kia Sportage 2.0-Litre Petrol
Based on a similar framework to the Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage 2.0-Litre mainly operates in front-wheel drive mode with 141bhp. Capable of producing a maximum acceleration of 6,000rpm, Sportage generates 136lb/ft peak torque at 4,500rpm.
The part time four-wheel drive system offers a good degree of off road capability without overloading the car with unnecessary heavy duty hardware.
Apart from an automatic transmission option, two equipment levels are be available with consumers free to use either XE or XS specs.
The back seating embraces Kia’s ‘Fold and Dive’ system. Similarly, the front seats can also be folded flat to accommodate additional loads. At the back, a flip-up rear window can be found in which luggage can be dumped.
Sportage comes with features like traction control, ESP stability control and front, side and curtain airbags.
Interior styling includes a bunch of devices placed high on the centre console. Opposite the steering wheel, switches for the four-wheel drive system and the ESP stability control are located while the frontage has a tinny bezel surrounding the important devices.
Moving onto the exterior, the stocky wheel curves are used to give the car a magnified look.
At £14,500, Kia Sportage 2.0-Litre falls in the category of relatively inexpensive 4x4’s.

An SUV that behaves like a small car or vice versa? What is it?
In these times of soaring fuel prices, any SUV owner would regret having bought the vehicle. But not if it's a Kia sportage. Another feature I like immensely is the instant pickup. From the moment I key up the ignition, it goes like a horse on steroids. "Whoa".
