Sparkling Sagem myX-8
Sagem my X-8 represents the plethora of fashionable gadgets available in the market. Costing around £300, the Sagem my X-8 is a white handset unlike most of the silver and black existing in the market place. Trying to give a unique appeal, it has a rounded upper back and lower front edges.
With dimensions of 47 by 115 by 21mm, it falls into the category of moderately weight cells. The number keys of Sagem my X-8 are very tiny and are placed at the bottom half. The shortcut keys placed before the number keys are even smaller. A small joypad is centrally located between these shortcut keys.
The screen with customary dimensions of 33x44mm provides 240x320 pixels and 262K colours.
On the back side you find the camera lens with 8x digital zoom. It is possible to change the camera features from the settings. By using the joystick, you are able to modify the image appearance and colour.
The sides of this handset are moderately plain. The right edge houses an infrared port as also a small opening for a neck-band which Sagem does not offer it. On the other hand, the left edge has a button that performs the dual function of volume control and camera shutter.
Sagem myX-8 comes with 40MB of internal memory in which plenty of music and photos can be stored. A mini SD card available can play tunes while there is also a Java enabled in built game.
MyX-8 can also be used as a modem with a laptop using either infrared or Bluetooth. It possesses a calendar, address book and task manager which can coordinate with the handset and help you create SMS messages.
In addition, you also get some phone backup software for your PC, a stereo earpiece with a proprietary connector and a mains power adaptor.

Good cell. But could have been better
With so many useful features and an MP3 player, my x-8 is among the good ones existing in the market according to me. I purchased it three months ago and like the high quality camera, great sound, 40 MB of internal memory and mini SD card. While the Sagem myX-8 screen display is good, I don’t quite appreciate the white handset. Would have preferred the standard silver and black.

Great connectivity but ££
I can load songs to and from my PC. It's also a good looking mobile phone. The design gives the Sagem myX-8 its 'premium product' appeal and it sure is priced like one!
But I wonder what the premium features are. Then I think they compromised on the size of keys - the shortcut keys are so difficult to use.
