The grass is ‘almost’ always greener on the other side. This is precisely what four zoo inmates drink in, after spending a couple of days in their natural habitat- the wild.
When it comes to bone-tickling lunacy, Julian, the lemur king [Sacha Baron Cohen, Ali G] and the penguins, vocalized by the animators, take away the crown. Performances by Melman, the hypochondriac giraffe [David Schwimmer] and Alex, the pampered, attention craving lion [Ben Stiller] are very much commendable. Appropriately funny for children, the movie does not exactly fall under the category of one that can tickle an adult [despite including a tad bit of existentialism and a bit of New York humor]. All in all a simple and easygoing movie that actually can give you a bit of inspiration when it comes to being content with what you have.
