Surprisingly 12% typical APR with Cahoot Credit card - What good is a low APR with a smaller interest-free period?

I took this card, and pay all my debts religiously at the end of each month with a few exceptions like in July I had bought a new kitchen set and was late in paying off the bills. I explained in my mail that my clients paid me late that month. I later find more money debited from my account than I had calculated. The interest-free period should be reasonable, something like 2 months.
